A quick shot as I stroll down a hallway. The Heritage Skin Diver, a #nwa that has me wondering why it took so long for me to pull the trigger.

... it's great isn't it. The hand set is amazing too. Not only the shape but the mirror polish and how well they catch the light.

The legibility is insane.

I went back and forth on this watch for ~ 2 years I reckon. Now I feel like I've been missing out!

Longines has really been bringing it the last few years. Great choice!

Agreed and thanks. They suit my wrist really well. Thinking about an Ultra Chron later in the year too.

That'd mean 4 of my last 5 purchases were Longines. Guess that says a lot.

Yes it does! I was fortunate to attend a Longines event last year aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach where they brought many historical pieces from their archives as well as modern ones like the great looking Ultra Chron.

The red areas on the watch at upper left (below) signifies periods of radio silence so that a distress call won't get blocked by other transmissions. This was done as a direct result of the Mayday calls from the Titantic being drowned out by other transmissions.

TBH if they only had one or two great choices I probably would've came home with one but I felt like I needed more time to research my options.

I’ve been eyeing that one for a while now. Looks terrific.

Amazing! You are tempting me to go pull the trigger!

Wow - what a great thing to have done.

I read an article on one of watch sites about a similar event Longines did - in London from memory, or perhaps Paris. I can't recall exactly tbh.

I'd love to attend one.

Their back catalogue is so strong - I've actually a little about the watch you're describing, it may've even been from the same article? I'd love to buy a chronograph with the 13ZN mov't, it's a grail of mine.

I agree about about the breadth of their range. There isn't a lot from the Heritage line that I wouldn't happily own - and it does make choosing difficult, but there's also a number of fairly mediocre 'mall watches' in the catalogue.

Were you invited to attend or can you sign up independently?

Apologies (😂) ... they are around for good prices on the grey market though.

I picked this up on C24, new - from Japan. It was around half of the original retail I think, so I couldn't resist … and I'm supposed to be consolidating this year!

We were invited by Ariel Adams from ablogtowatch though we also have an acquaintance that works for Longines who also helped me organize the Seattle meetup last October at Timeworks.

Bucherer are selling it for less than half. I’m also failing drastically to trim down the collection 🙄
