It depends on how you define “collecting”. I wouldn’t say I “collect” anything. I have lots of many things, but don’t really think of them as collections. If anything, my main hobby is spending money on crap I don’t really need. Wether that be watches, tools, shoes, or 3D printers. Maybe what I really collect is hobbies.

I’m definitely out on this challenge. I should have a Goofy Panda showing up some time in the middle of that time period. There’s no way I’m not putting that on the second it shows up.
I think you don’t connect with them because you have a job where you don’t need to worry too much about beating up your watch. I don’t do hard labor, but I have a very physical job where I will beat up a watch in no time. So I like a simple robust watch for everyday wear. I save the nicer watches for when I’m not working.
