I agree with this comment about a quartz Max Bill. My first automatic was a Junkers that was kinda inspired by Junghans, but now I prefer quartz and the original design. This gold-tone is only 7.9mm thick and was $574 on sale from a European dealer, so no tax/shipping fees.
I agree with all of your points, which is why I got a DC-4 (the 12-hour, not the purist version) as my only GMT watch. If I didn't have this, the Lorier GMT would be my second choice in terms of value and design. I also agree with your point in another comment that a red GMT hand (or at least a red tip) would be a great finishing touch.
Love the watch design. I know this is heresy, but I wish there was a date at 6 o’clock.
