After my Grandmother passed in 2013, I got my Grandfatherโs vintage 1950s Zodiac Triple Date Moonphase. It didnโt work for the longest time, but after getting it serviced, I found it marvelous how such a small mechanism could keep track of the time, day, date, month, and moonphase all at once whilst being powered from hand winding. After that, the rest is history!

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I have a vintage 14k solid gold 1948 Hamilton โBrockโ that was gifted to me by a customer at a store I work at. He knew that I liked watches and always sees me working there and I always talk with him. The watch was awarded to someone who worked at the Hooker Electrochemical Company for 25 years. This is apparently the company responsible for the Love Canal environmental disaster in New York. Movement is Hamilton Caliber 982M.
