Love a 24 hour dial. Takes a little getting used to it, but I love the utility and the quirkiness of it. Fantastic looking watch
Thanks! Unfortunately - not sure if you have seen it -, I didn’t do enough research when I bought the watch some time back and ended up with the GMT version, not „The Purist“ one. I.e. it has the 24-hour dial but goes around in 12 hours.
Still, very nice looking watch and very comfortable to wear!
Had to learn as well: if it has a GMT (= fourth) hand, it is a 12 hour watch.
Wow! So I am confused now - the hour hand travels through 360 degrees in just 12 hours but the GMT hand takes 24 hours - is that correct? If so I didn’t realize that.

Yes, this is correct! There is a version of the Airman called The Purist which does not have a GMT hand. With this version, the hour hand is going around in 24 hours. But this is not the case for the GMT version you see here.

Thank you - I think I prefer the Chief as intuitively reading the time is easier. I have had a 24 hour hand before and it wasn’t as easy to read at a glance. Fine if your only watch but a minority in rotation didn’t work so well.

Wow. Did not know that. I thought all the 24 dials from Glycene went around in 24 hours. Good to know. Still a good looking watch.
