Seiko and Sinn

Seiko and Sinn are two of my favorite watch brands. This SLA049 and U50-SDRT are two of my favorite watches from those brands. For being dive watches, they are pretty different.

I put a deposit down on the U50 the week that it was announced and have worn it religiously since I got it. The tegiment process that Sinn has is amazing. I am pretty rough on watches and that thing remains in like new condition. Its tough, accurate, and looks good on the shown bracelet as well as the Sinn rubber strap or a Nato. That watch on the Sinn fitted rubber strap is possibly my favorite watch to wear.

I got the Seiko a few months ago. I have always loved the turtle but have never worn a Willard. I have a lot of Seiko dive watches in the lower end of their catalogue and wanted to try a SLA model. Enter the Uemura. The dial is amazing and a great shade of blue. The 8L movement is solid and the finishing on the case and hands are definitely a step above their standard offerings. I took the watch off the bracelet and put it on the provided rubber strap. It is very comfortable and I like the vintage vibe that the rubber strap brings.

Both watches are amazing and will remain in the collection for a long long time. Ok ciao.

Sinn U50 is on my wish list

Great pair! I love my U50 and the Seiko is on my wish list. Naomi Uemura was a heroic adventurer.

Very nice!  The Sinn Tegementation is much better than Seiko's Diashield/Ever Brilliant steel.  Citizen's Duratect offering is also better than the Diashield.

They certainly are unique and funky. They remind me of buoys.

Thank you, he certainly was a badass! I did not know much about him and the research into this watch help show me how awesome he was.

Absolutely. It works wonders and well worth the premium.
