I owned a few cheap Casios with plastic cases during the 80s and wore them as my daily. They all ended in the trash when the case edges at the bracelets broke. Since that I prefer watches with steel cases.
It's not too long ago that I bought my first automatic Seiko, just because when I finally after months wanted to leave the house, all my quartz watches were without juice. I further would like to have an Accutron one day, but at the moment i can't afford one. My latest buy was then again a quartz, because I have had some Casios during the 80s, but never had a G-Shock.
Found my way here via a link on Ben's Watch Club whom I follow on youtube for some weeks. I bought myself a Seiko 5 for christmas, because after not leaving the house for 2 years, I found out that none of my Quartz watches was still having juice. Replaced some batteries that day too and ordered me a watch box. Now seeing all my watches side by side, I found out that they are all pretty much the same. A good point to start reading and investigating about watches before buying the next one.
