I just didn't wear lots of my watches and there was no point keeping them. And I like you said I think I have my bases covered. Only thing I'm looking at is maybe a field watch.

Quality v quantity 👍👍👍
For your potential field watch, I recommend a look at Redwood Watches.
Wow, that's an impressive amount of trimming! I know I couldn't do it at the moment as I'd just replace maybe half of them. You have to be in the right headspace to do it properly. Nicely done 👍😎

I have sold 22 watches in the last six months. My collection is constantly evolving. I just try stuff on for size, and if it doesn't wow me, or the honeymoon phase ends too fast, I just let it go. I try not to hold watches on a much higher pedestal than shirts, shoes, or socks.
I currently have 12, half of which were gifts, and I will never sell a gift.
I'm not sure I could get my collection down to seven or less (let alone three), because I really, really like the ones I have left, plus I'm not averse to buying more watches. I just imposed a rule on myself late last year - "If it doesn't get worn (and it wasn't a gift), it goes." Simple as that.
My house isn't a museum, and no one's paying admission to look at my collection. I'd rather have the money, or a different watch I will actually wear. Let someone else enjoy the watches that I don't.
P.S. - I don't have a dress watch either. The only time I dress up anymore is for funerals, and how depressing would it be to have a "funeral watch"?
I hear that. That was my reasoning as well. The eco drive on the left is a present so it stays and the other 2 just float my boat. That's why I sold mine. Let others enjoy them.

Funeral watch....not a good thought at all
Just get a dressy quartz and take the battery out. Lol I’m not right.

The eco drive is sort of my dress watch. Not a fan of dress watches. I never dress up so no need for one
