Crowdfunded watches - XERIC

Has anyone pledged on a crowdfunded watch? I did for the Xeric NASA Voyager Automatic 1000 Meter Diver limited edition last year - I am a sucker for any time piece related to space/astronomy.

It comes with a Seiko TMI NH38A movement, which has been quite robust. I opted for the Ganymede version (the white/red Mars one looked great too).

Love the little detail like the Voyager gold record on the caseback. With a 4mm scratchproof sapphire crystal and super comfy silicon strap, this is a joy to wear.

I have six KS watches, plus I got one of those in a second colour, plus my only smart watch.... and another currently on the way. So, a total of nine. I love crowdfunded watches, as long as you are cautious and lucky.

That is a very unique and bold design! Enjoy it!

Very nice. Also looks like it could do triple duty as a knuckle duster if had to fend off toughs and secret Power Ranger transformer/henshin machines if you're facing the monster of the week. Nice. 😁

Looks way better than I was thinking, but I had only seen official pics. It just seems way more 3d from your pics.

I bought one of these and you’re right, it is a joy to wear. They really nailed the strap, it’s so soft and easy to wear.

I was intrigued when I saw NASA on the dial, interested when I saw the name Prometheus and sold once I saw the lume and gold record. Wasn’t really sure what to expect but when it arrived I was really happy with it. Xeric did a nice job!

Oh yes, i've backed Kickstarter Watches ..... also a Xeric Voyager (Europa). :)

The Design is kind if brutal and awesome. Only downside was the included rubber watch strap. Made me sweat underneath, so i changed to a red nato.

And a Namica Shirahama Neo Tokyo

Black DLC Coating, same movement as the Xeric, and an absolutely awesome Dial.

I’ve backed at least 8 different on kickstarter and I’ve enjoyed all that I’ve gotten so far. Still waiting on a few.

That Prometheus is a stunner! 😍
