I've got the same watch,(manual wind omega geneve) it was my late fathers. I love it a lot but rarely wear it for fear of damaging or (heaven forbid) losing it. All i don't like about it is to change the date you have to keep pulling on the crown to make the numbers advance, definitely not a good idea? The watch itself is over fifty years old, i had it sympathetically restored and serviced a few years ago. Ive got it on a plain black leather strap but it was originally on an expanding bracelet. I don't know how my dad tolerated this as we both have very hairy arms and it was torturous!
I can't imagine wearing a watch for bed. Why would you? I have a five quid digital clock on my bedside table if i need to know the time. Surely if you've a leather strap on the watch it's going to spoil quicker and theres always a chance you might catch the crown on something and possibly damage it????
