I am a retired Firewall/IS Security Engineer. A Hifi nut who plays lots of Jazz vinyl and rock, folk and pop from the 60s through to the present day . I am also a keen watch collector (horologist sort of) and an occasional watch modder. Finally I am a whippet 'carer' and living in Wiltshire.

Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
My wife bought me a Tissot PRC200 Chronograph as a Birthday Gift and it started from there about fifteen years ago.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Seiko Kinetic in around 1971/2
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I think so. I own a Ricoh Shrewd Ambition Solar with a white dial, it is slim and fairly weighty in a good way and very much a minimalist design and 29 years old and I love it to bits.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Research, check and check again. You can waste so much money buying the wrong thing
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Seiko, Bulova, Laco, San Martin, Ricoh, Casio, Kuoe and Hanhart
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Zenith El Primero because they are one of the best value quality watches made in my opinion and I might be able to afford one some day. However I also love the Seiko higher end watches such as the 62 MAS and Grand Seiko range.
