You have my sympathy. I somewhat regret selling my Tudor North Flag. I sold it just before they discontinued it, and it has since gone up by about £1200. 😬 I always wanted the Speedy, but had to settle for what I could afford. However, there's no price snobbery here. My never-sell watch is my Seiko SKX 009. It's been to many different countries with me and has the scars to show it. The bezel is turning a nice pink with sun exposure (which is lovely). And to top it all off, it was on my wrist as the top of Ben Nevis (tallest mountain in UK in case you're not from the UK) when I proposed to my now fiancee. I would never sell that watch. Not if you offered me 50 rolexes. So there's no snobbery here. 😊
A more charitable way of saying this would be "one of the many Speedys which went to space failed and was replaced with a Bulova once"😉. But yes, I take your point, the Bulova is a great watch too. But while I admire the super accurate movement tech which Bulova use (having a vibration of 250,000 times a second...which is awesome) the original Moonwatch is where it's at for me. There are things I would change about the Lunar Pilot. I wouldn't change a thing about the Speedy. Thanks for the comment though. Lucky I'm such a nice guy. You might have offended a less self-assured one 😢😉
