I know some of the higher end brands polish as a part of service. I know Hamilton isn’t higher end. Anyone have experience with sending off to Hamilton for service? Any other recommendations? The scratched up polished bezel is driving me nuts… and don’t say “it adds character” 😂
Par for the course with a high polished bezel. Polish it as you see fit but it'll just end up looking like that again soon if you wear the watch. Makes no sense to send it to Hamilton. A local jeweler can polish it as well as they can.
A field watch with a mirror finish doesn't really make sense to me. YMMV of course.
If it were me, I'd just take a Scotch-Brite to it & get the scratching out of the way.
If you don't want to do that & do get it polished (understandable), my next course of action would be to change how & when I wear it to try to avoid getting it scratched & dinged in the first place.
Absolutely as @foghorn says, a local watchmaker can do it just as well. But if you're sending it to Hamilton, they were the original polishers, so should be able to do it.

I use Flitz. I apply it with my gloved fingertip and work it in lightly. It’ll remove surface scratches but not gouges or nicks. I’ve had very good experience using this method because it very gentle.

Thanks. Agreed… polished looks great day 1…
Any decent jeweler should be able to polish it. I have my omega getting the treatment in a shop in Glasgow

Thanks. I got this watch before l learned “left
Hand awareness”. It’s all scratched up and my others are fine
Jewelers rouge a rag and some elbow grease.
Oh how I wish Hamilton did screw down crowns outside a few of their divers.
Swatch Group won't polish, but they can replace the entire case. I will tell you it's not cheap.

Get yourself a cheep Dremmel type tool with lots of different heads and practice, it's really not as difficult as you might think.
