You know how we do it here in LaLa Land. A star filled dinner at Rao's with "industry" friends in Hollywood.
Tucked away on a nondescript side street, Rao's is a IYKYK spot frequented by movie stars and movie moguls. As usual we were seated at the best table in the house and when Johnny Williams recognized my lovely wife and I he stopped by to catch up and crack a few jokes.
Together Johnny and I make a pretty amusing team, playing up our mobster personas and confusing the other guests who don't know it's just a skit. When another patron asked how we knew each other we both yelled out "Porn!". That joke never gets old!
Johnny was spotted by Martin Scorsese at a Rao's in New York and Scorsese immediately rewrote a part for Johnny in the movie Goodfellas and renamed the character "Roastbeef". That role opened up a new life for Johnny here on the West Coast and illustrates that opportunity can lead you in directions you never intended to go and with outcomes better than you imagined.
What drink does one order when wearing a "killer" watch? A Sicario of course!
