I had the SNK809 for a brief time but I sold it eventually as I found it was a bit too underwhelming. The dial was boring too, I thought.
Absolute CLASSIC.
I like b type flieger watches. I just ordered my first white dial, similar to this, from Islander Watch. Looks cool to me!
What's not to like? Well the glass back is annoying but that can be replaced with a solid case back. Is it just the 18mm lug width that annoys you?

This is the Gateway watch. I love almost everything about it. If they would have made it closer to 40mm, I would have gotten 3.
I like mine, too. Recently put it back onto its' original strap to keep it all authentic.
Sometimes all it takes is a spot-on strap change and you'll fall in love with a watch you were on the fence about 😉
