Great Macro shot. Really illustrates the level of finishing that can only be from the Hand finished studios of grand Seiko. Kind of makes the massed produced black bays, seamasters, and Subs look like second tier watches.
I empathize with your situation as I also have a mortgage and kids. although these purchases were difficult to make financially there is some comfort knowing I could sell them without losing too much. I purchased all the watches second hand and have patience looking on eBay and Chrono24. Mid tier watches (Oris/Tissot etc..) I usually purchase through Jomashop. Some watches would require a mega-millions winning lottery ticket to feel comfortable purchasing. My original goal was a Rolex hulk…with them selling at 20+ that option is off the table and is the reason I purchased the Green Seiko Diver…which eliminated the desire of owning that Rolex.
I’m sitting tight right now. Sold off a Tudor Pelagos and IWC MK XVIII (little prince). I still have several other Seiko‘s, a few citizens, a Laco, Tissot, Orient and San Martin Homages. I’ll put them up on another post for sure.
