Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
When I was able to afford, I bought myself a watch 22 years ago and it was an automatic Diesel fashion watch. I bought it for the look but that Watch served me very well for all those years, went around the world with me and it was abused constantly. Then it stopped working and I paid for an overhaul four times more than I paid for the watch. That’s when I learned the difference between watch movements and started my journey.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Growing up I was big on introducing rollerblades where I lived and I got a G-Shock for that but I can’t remember the exact model.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Do your research, size matters, get what makes you smile.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Gronefeld, MB&F, Dufour, FP Journe, AP, ALS, Sinn, Hanhart.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Audemars Piguet Concept GMT Tourbillon. Why ? Have you seen this watch? That’s why.
