Yeah, that looks a lot like bad-lands in Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado and the Dakotas. Here’s a photo of some bad-lands in South Dakota. I’m from Utah and see formations a lot like those in the Great Basin desert West of where I live.
You mentioned in another post that your MTP is what you're using as a field watch. With the shiny finish, and (in your words) "poor water resistance," I would use it as more of a dress watch instead, and (as I suggested in the other post) get a Duro to be your field watch. 😀
