Does anyone know Vintage Jaeger LeCoultre?

Hi everyone! My wife gave me this watch as a present when we got engaged, it was her fathers. I sent it to JLC for service a couple of months ago but they didn’t tell me the which model or reference it is. Does anyone know about vintage JLC?

I'm 100% ignorant about the model or reference but just wanted to comment on how cool it is!

I don't know nearly enough. It's a well regarded brand. In house movements, I think. Name can correctly be pronounced with German or French. You have some odd reflections on this photo. What is that between the 12 and 1 marker?

When you had it serviced, did they offer to do any restoration?

Its just a weird reflection 😂. Actually in person it looks brand new, only the markers show its age when you really zoom in and also there is just the slightest hint of lume left on the hands, but i love that about it. It wasn’t restored. They just serviced the movement.

It's a beauty, no doubt. The hands looked corroded near the stem. Is there anything on the back that might give you a model clue?

Oh yea! Much better shot. I am envious.

If you get a pic without reflection you might be able to use it for a Google search and get some model I fo that way?

I'll take a look at the references I have when I go home later. That black dial makes it somewhat unique.

First let me say there are people on here that know more about this stuff than me, I hope they chime in on this. I could not find an exact match in any of the reference material that I have. We really need to see what movement is in there, but I think it dates to about 1960 plus or minus, the black dial, the crown size, and the central seconds complication are the distinguishing factors. It looks a lot like the Master Mariner series but I don't think thats what it is.

Thanks! Indeed, its a domed crystal, its very tall actually, is almost half the height of the watch.
