A short but emotional part of my journey, about my favorite watch brand - Seiko.
On one of my last vacations, I was with my wife in Thailand, where Seiko 5 Sports Sasuke caught my eye in one of the boutiques.
I've been a fan of Naruto anime since childhood, so I couldn't miss them. It's amazing that a $300 watch can bring so many emotions.
A very beautiful dial, a lot of interesting references to anime, a reliable caliber and a limit of 6500 pieces. I was very pleased, but there was another limited edition from the Naruto series, which I really wanted, but it was not available. Seiko 5 Rock Lee.
After some time after buying Sasuke, I couldn't stand it and ordered them. For me, this is more than a watch, since the character himself greatly influenced me and is still a model of diligence. As the undefeated UFC champion, my countryman, Khabib Nurmagomedov said: "Discipline beats talent." I try to adhere to this motto in everything.
As a result, I sold Sasuke, and Seiko Rock Lee will remain in my collection forever.
Also, I urgently needed a quartz watch that I don't have to think about and with which I can go to the beach and dive into the depths of the ocean. I tried on various options, including Seiko Tuna limits, but they were all gigantic size and priced over $3,000.
By chance, I came across an ad for the sale of Seiko Tuna Solar, which were without box and papers, but at a price of $250.
I bought them instantly, because of:
- perfect size,
- date in the color of the dial,
- beautiful combination of gold bezel with black case,
- bright long-lasting lum,
- no need to think about replacing the battery,
- 200 meters WR,
- Diver's inscription, which means that the watch is certified according to the ISO 6426 standard.
It is impossible to imagine more suitable watch for active recreation! They replaced G-Shock for me, since I'm not a fan of it.
