Wrist size matters. In this case, I think Zulu and Santos would be my choice. I have the new Exp 2 (17 mo wait) from the AD. Great watch but it's a true 42mm.

Very nice. I searched for a birth year watch (69) and found this one I liked on the Recon. 40mm and really nice shape for $300. Works just fine but I plan to have it gone through. Ladder bracelet does not fit me, so I might have it sized for my 10 yr old son who digs it.

Being German, I love German watches and their design. When I was looking for my first German piece in the collection, Junghans seemed to be a great entry point offering great value on the secondary. I settled on one I liked, bought from a reputable seller, and then added my own touches - custom leather strap and a Damascus steel handmade and etched buckle to complete the look I was after. Someday I will go GO or ALS, but for now I am very pleased with this one.
The Zimbe 1, SRPA19, released in 2016 in Thailand. LE of 1299. Aka the grey 🐢
