Right away I have a ‼️DISCLAIMER‼️: I am not affiliated to anyone, I represent no one and am not looking for a profit of any kind. I am just a newly baked WatchCrunch-er who is simply curious and, as a part of this fantastic community, wants to potentially get the voice of the community and share it back with the community and with its members and founders.

First, if you don’t mind, id like to explain myself. 🙏
As a marketing professional outside, I almost always look at things through a certain lense. We all, as professionals in our work, do have those lenses I suppose… Mine is the the one that makes me think how the advertising that I just saw would work or could be changed to work in my industry… or simply what and how would I do if I would be tasked to find ways to market the product… to bring new customers and maximise profit from the product.
Anyway… it didn’t take long before I started to look at the WatchCrunch through the same lense.
I see opportunities and I started to wonder why certain things was not done yet? Why it was not tested (or maybe it was… I am completely new here)? Why it was not researched with the audience? WHICH (the research) is what I want to try (if you will allow me 🙇) to do now with your help. 😇🙏
So, I just have two variants for you to answer…
A: Would you like to see WatchCrunch to offer ways for its members to receive some real life benefits (special deals on watches, special merch from favourite watch brands, platform wide competitions, giveaways, etc.)?
OR…
B: Would you like to leave it all as is?

Newly “born” watch enthusiast. Latvian 🇱🇻 living in Malta 🇲🇹. Still figuring out my taste in watches. I’m also into photography, tech & marketing.
This platform, as I see it, is about community. Not commercialization. I think this would ruin the spirit of the site, and the interactions within it. Just leave it be please 🙏
Simplicity is what I love about that app!
We're in the same type field. Its getting there as products start being introduced and content creators pimp their latest articles or videos or channels. It is a business format that can be monetized easily. It certainly needs scale. Im sure they are to get there. They certainly want the right people here- nothing too negative or too Reddit-like so got to get those out. There'll be merch next to buy. Then meet ups that are buy-in/ticketed events might follow- only guesses. I say keep it organic and free, no member bennies (just yet, pls).

I'm with @Draeger22 on this. Even if watch brands are on WatchCrunch they seem to keep posts more informative about the brand and not trying to sell sell sell. If these brands are interactive with and respect the community, we enthusiasts will flock to their websites and buy buy buy. Just my opinion but great question! 👍
