To our friends across the Pond, I hope I may represent my American peers in offering our condolences for the Queen’s passing. It is a shock to my soul…and I am amiss to imagine the level of shock our friends of Great Britain may be feeling.

Thanks for your kind words. For most of us in the UK the Queen has been there for all of our lives, so it feels strange & unsettling that she has passed away. It's as if the nations Grandmother has died!
