Aqua Terra Bracelet, shades vs standard

All,

With the new-ish Aqua Terra Shades release, Omega has come out with a newer bracelet for the 38mm Aqua Terra. It's more rounded than the standard flat link bracelet and keeps the center polished link.

From what I've read is drapes better and is easier to size as the links are slightly smaller and more articulate.

See pictures for the comparison.

However, Omega doesn't let you simply select the shades bracelet for the "normal" Aqua Terra, you have to buy it separately for the lovely price of $1200 🤑

So, get the 38mm blue Aqua Terra on the strap and get the shades bracelet, get the "normal" bracelet first or is there a 3rd option?

Note, A perfect option would be a bracelet option with the "comfort adjustment" link like the newest Constellation butterfly clasp has, where you get a 2.5mm extension to pop out when your wrist swells....

I am looking at the AT as well and been reading the same thing all over with people complaining about the bracelet and saying the Shades one is better. I had never heard about the comfort adjustment on a butterfly clasp but for me, that sounds like the best of both worlds because I like the tapering on the butterfly the AT currently has. Watches and Wonders in a few days, Omega make my year 🙏

Well, knowing Omega, and almost all Swiss luxury brands, Clasp improvements take FOREVER to come to the entire lineup.

When the next gen Aqua Terra arrives in 1-2 years it'll be there for sure. However, like you said, maybe Omega will surprise everyone.

Pester you AD a bit more. I did and they ended up swapping in the Shades bracelet when I bought the Aqua Terra blue teak. I was going to buy it in the rubber, then buy the Shades bracelet separately ($ ouch). Perhaps I got a bit lucky that they did not have the rubber in stock - so they agreed to put the Shades bracelet on for me, so I got the combo I wanted in the box.
