Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I’ve always liked watches so when I started to make my own money I started looking into the fashion brands since it’s what you see advertised on social media the most. Looking into those watches I stumbled upon YouTube channels like Teddy Baldassarre, The Urban Gentry, Just One More Watch, The Time Teller, etc… and my love for watches grew!
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The first “true” watch (not toy) I ever owned was a titanium Seiko my parents bought me when I started high school. I wore it every day for many years and although I don’t wear it much anymore I still have it.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Not yet. Hopefully in the future.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take your time. DO NOT BUY ON IMPULSE! Especially in the beginning. Your style will change. When I started I was obsessed with small dress watches and over time my preferences changed. I still love dress watches but I’ve come to also like other styles and I’m not as obsessed anymore.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Casio, Seiko, Orient, TISSOT, Baltic, Christopher Ward, Longines, Tudor, Cartier, Omega, Jaeger Lecoultre
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I have many “grails” but right now it’s the Cartier Santos.
