Tudor Ranger review.

A missed opportunity in my book. Wore it going hunting. But, the bracelet is amazing!

I do think all they had to do was basically copy & paste the 7995 and it would have been a smash hit. I wonder if they were limited by the size of the modern movement.

From my experience, it is a watch that only continues to grow on you as time goes on.

I also have 7.75" wrists so my experience with it is more favorable.

Interesting take. The previous model was like 41 or 42mm. Is a 7.75in wrist that important for the newest model? (That’s my size as well.) Watches got ludicrously large, how small will they get?

I think the current 39mm Ranger is compatible for both small and large wristed folk; I think it's more compatible on the larger wrists.

The 7995 Ranger was 34mm, which I actually would not be opposed to wearing a 34mm watch as long as the case thickness was around 10mm. Anything over that, I think, would make the watch look too fat, and a fat watch on a fat wrist looks terrible to me.

The Ranger's size has been the main thing (besides price) keeping me from buying. I have compared it to the San Martin 36mm version and it's a crime that they don't make their own in that size. It could be perfect.

I’m considering the ranger. It seems like the perfect rugged day to day for me

I own one. It wears bigger than the 39 mm case size would suggest.

The dial is just not great, too much empty space, the Arabic numerals are a weird yellow sort of color that doesn’t match the lume.

The bracelet is fantastic, the micro adjustments are amazing, really saves the watch.

It does look good with casual and business casual attire.

Doesn’t work as a dress watch though.

I wish I went with one of the new Black Bay 31/36/39/41 models with either the champagne or blue dial, still might look to buy one of those and sell the Ranger.
