NWA: Wayfinder/ Northside Edition

So of course I was scouring my brain on why I needed another watch. Answer: I need a watch that closely connects with my home town baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. I remembered that during all games last season, manager David Ross (who recently was let go but all Cub fans will revere forever)wore the same watch. The watch looked like it matched the Cubs colors. So off I go to do online research.

I find that in fact this watch is called the Wayfinder/ Northside Edition made by a Chicago area based microbrand named Farr & Swit. The dial has a map on it of the area surrounding Wrigley Field, and you can see the outline of Wrigley itself. The watch is perfect for any Cub fan. And the lume knocked my socks off. Done.

If you check out their website you will find they make three other versions of the Wayfinder for the general public. They also have a Seaplane collection that is rather cool. Their mission is to make watches built for adventure.

Very nice piece. Love that dial and the backstory...and that's from a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. (See, we CAN get along) 😉😜

Yes Mark we can! As a Cub fan, I have nothing but respect for the Cards and their fans. Along with a strong desire for the Cubs to beat the Cards😀

Yep, always want to beat each other, but also mad respect for each other. Greatest rivalry in baseball...even better than Yankees/Red Sox IMHO. 😎

That is just the coolest backstory on this watch. I have never spent any time in Chicago. Landed there a couple of times enroute to somewhere else. The train they call "the city of New Orleans" runs up there. I am gonna get around to making that ride eventually. Great watch. Looking forward to seeing the Henry Blake when you get it!
