A ubiquitous watch, in a rare color!

I wanted to get an A168 and tried getting the traditional black dial, but Walmart canceled my order a few days after I placed it. Disappointed, I decided that I’d use it as an opportunity to chase down one of these cool sea green ones that I’d seen available outside of the US.

After a lot of digging, I found it for a good price ($37 US) from a company in the UK, looked them up on TrustPilot, and placed the order. The shipping was free so I figured it’d get here when it got here but damn, it made it across the ocean and onto my wrist three days later! Props to DHL and FirstClass Watches. Highly recommend them.

The watch itself is better than I had expected. For some reason it seems nicer than other 158/168’s that I’ve held. I like the color which I see as green, but other people tend to call it blue. The bracelet has smooth edges and a nice taper, and the case proportions itself much like I’d imagine most 36 mm circular-cased watches would. I suspect this will get a good bit of use.

PS - the watch was in its proper Casio Vintage box, which was wrapped in bubble wrap, placed inside another cardboard box, and then placed inside of a shipping bag. I’m impressed.
