The surprisingly accurate 62MAS clone

The sky is clear, the sun is shinning, it's warm outside and even the stupid birds are happily chirping and teasing the small cat who's very interested in the whole concept of in-flight dinner, despite my explanations that he's getting the idea completely wrong. It's time for getting a new watch ready for this beautiful day, and I felt like wearing the San Martin 37mm 62MAS, which managed to gift me with a pleasant surprise.

I wore it last on January the 5th and it lost just about 27 seconds since then. I double checked the time on my PC and it was still less than 30 seconds off. That's less than a second per day and I'm genuinely impressed, because I bought the San Martin SN007-G-X to scratch my 62MAS itch and bought the PT5000 variant, thinking it would be "good enough" for what I needed.

Well, this PT5000 is more than "good enough" and if this accuracy is more than just a fluke then I think that it's absolutely brilliant.

The sun is surprisingly bright and it's actually hot outside. I'm struggling with the old Canon G12 to try and catch the grey sunburst of the dial without catching too many reflections from the crystal. The San Martin has a very decent AR coating, but there is just so much that AR can do under these light conditions.

I like this 37mm 62MAS, it wears well, it's a better 62MAS than my SPB and now I know that it's also a better time keeper. Sometime you win a good one and this it seems that I got lucky.
