Today macro photography session was a complete bust. The sun was too bright for me to see what was going on the camera's screen and I had difficulties with forcing the focus on the dial because the reflections kept confusing the AF, which I had to keep on since the sun washed out the display on screen and I was practically shooting blind.
The one above is basically the only half decent shot that I managed to get from my Canon RP and the macro lens. I can still show the macro details of the dial but it's far from being a prize winner.
Which just show that familiarity plays a big part in using equipment efficiently since I had no problem handling the older Canon G12 to snap a wrist shot.

I have similar SM and I prefer to shot in the dark so I have a complete control over lighting
