Tide/temp Strap advice

So I found an old timex tide/temp with the worst band ever on it and planned on updating the band to the new model style synthetic but it doesn't sit the same in the lugs due to the width being off about 2mm. Any advice for a better fix?

I would locate an aftermarket strap with similar aesthetics & the correct fit. I believe new ones are 16mm so the original was 18mm?

If you want it to look more integrated, get a 20-22mm silicone strap (Barton makes good ones)

& notch the corners so it slips between the lugs.

I had considered flipping the watch hench the reason for sticking with the timex brand strap. Your advice is solid though. May tinker with the look and end up keeping it. It's a gimmicky watch imo but I like it.

I think they're really cool. The new one is definitely on my radar.

It's super cool but when it is inaccurate then it's just inaccurate and you have to deal with it. For example the compass feels really wonky around cellphones. Obviously the solution is move away from power sources. The back light is phenomenal and the face is captivating.
