Q: How did you get into watch collecting?

My dad had this Brietling Emergency B73321, he always told me how this watch would get him rescued by the army if he ever got lost. Since it bothered me to believe how this could be possible, I started looking into the watch and then came across Omega, which they have their Seamaster collection, I always thought this was relatable to me as I was from an island but my real understanding and passion for the hobby actually started when I first watched TGV and bought a Seiko SKX007.

Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?

Casio F91W, I believe in the 90s every kid had one.

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?

My Tudor BB58 is definitely my greatest achievement as I promised to myself I would buy that grail at 30, so the effort to get there was the most amazing thing ever.

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?

Don’t follow the hype, wear what you love and don’t support replicas.

Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?

Tudor and Oris

Q: What is your grail watch and why?

Tudor Black Bay 58, it’s a diver, doesn’t have a date window, has a vintage look, the snowflake hand. To me it’s a whole combination of aspects that just synchs with a lot of memories.
