From my Dad. He used to say "You can't trust a man who doesn't wear a watch" I believe my 1st watch was a Timex Expedition Digital from what I remember. I believe I still have it but haven't been able to find it anywhere even in a picture online.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
When my father passed away I inherited a Zodiac Sea Dragon. I cleaned it up, put a battery in, bought a new strap and gave it to my brother the last time I saw him. I have the rest of my dad's collection but the Zodiac was his favorite. He better take good care of it. Lol
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take your time and don't impulsively buy watches just to get a new watch. I have about 6 watches I bought that I'll probably never wear again. Buy what you really want and can afford without impacting your lifestyle. It's a marathon not a sprint. Good luck!!
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Tudor, Longines, and Timex.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
A Rolex Submariner. I love the Dr. No. A Rolex Submariner was the 1st what I ever saw on someone's wrist as a child and had to ask what it was. It was my dad's friend's watch so he took it off for me to look at. I feel in love with watches. I always thought they were cool cause my dad wore one every day. I have all of his watches and l think of my dad every time I look at my watch. Like "Hey Dad, look what I worked hard for and finally got!"
A Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi bezel
