Rolex Submariner. I know this is probably a boring pick for some but, for me it holds significance. This was the watch that was worn by the protagonist in my favorite book series “The Terminal List” by Jack Carr. in the fifth book, “Time” and what we decide to do with it is the undertone theme. Immediately after finishing the book I looked up the submariner that was a gift from James Reece’s father, and was thoroughly impressed. Then, seeing the price tag, I was taken aback! I since have watched countless videos, read tons of reviews, and shopped around on tons of websites trying to find my first watch, and today I bought that watch. The Baltic Aquascaphe. My Grail watch may change but, at this point in my collecting journey, that’s the one I would put in that category due to it being the reason for my newfound interest.
