Iโve always been interested in Gevril watches. Most of what I have seen are their Rolex homages. Itโs funny, there are so many people who will look down on and shit on Pagani Design, San Martin, etc. for making โrip offsโ as they call it. However, those same people will sing the praises of Gevril for, essentially, doing the exact same thing.

Because Gevril, is European.. And Pagani Design & San Martin is Chinese

Yeah I have a Pagani in there. I donโt care about the homage thing. Could I get a real one, sure but I would rather use that money to take my family places. I think if you like the design of the Rolex or omega but donโt want to spend the money for whatever reason than who cares who makes it. As long as it is built well and has a good movement like a NH35 or SW 200 it is just as good as the big boys in my opinion. I buy mainly for that reason and I look more at the horological history. Rolex is great with marketing but I donโt believe they have the history (I can be wrong) then other watch companies. Gevril is a great made watch, I just donโt think you should buy it from their main website at the msrp they ask for.

I looked up the Sub Homage by Gevril. The Wall Street. You can get them for like $450 on Chrono24. Maybe thatโll be an addition in the future.

Thatโs what the green bezel one in my collection is. Great watch, definitely high end feel without the feeling of going bankrupt when you buy the real Rolex lol

Jomashop hds the one I have in my collection for 479. I also spoke with Gevril and they still stand by their two year warranty even if you buy from Jomashop. Also, check out Mathey-tissot. It is no relation to tissot. Thatโs the Batman one in my collection. They have a big history and built cases and movements for some top watch companies and won awards for most accurate back in the 1800s but the quartz crisis destroyed them. I love their watches, Swiss made and still really good build, only complain is the clasp could be beefier.

Honestly, I thought about Mathey Tissot but I have heard way too many negative things about them.

Yeah? And? If they make a good watch that runs reliably and doesnโt fall apart after a month, then why would people make such a stink? I get that some Chinese products are absolute garbage. However, I think they have (mostly) gotten their watch thing all sorted out.
