First San Martin

Just received my first San Martin watch. I am currently waiting on the watchdives speedy to ship but that’s another story(ordered 2 weeks ago, still haven’t received it). I wanted to order one to see for myself all the good reviews they get.

I have to say, at first, when I received the watch I was a little disappointed, maybe because of all the YouTube reviews the hype was bigger than it actually. However, after wearing it for a few hours it’s definitely not a bad watch. I didn’t get the new upgraded version with the PT5000 or Sellita but still thought this would have the screw pins for the bracelet and it does not. I think the bracelet is what makes me disappointed in the watch.

Even though the brushing is amazing and on par with brands like Tissot and Gevril in my collection, the weight of the bracelet feels much lighter then some others I am used to. Maybe I just need to wear it for a few days to see how it breaks in. Most likely this watch and the watchdives speedy will be the only ones I order from this company.

Other than that it’s a great made watch from what I can tell for the money you spend, but you can save up a little bit more and get a nice entry level swiss made watch, like Tissot.

Anyone else have this feeling when they got their first San Martin or is it just me?

I might check out a traska next.

Just received my first one and I opened it today. I gotta say I’m fully impressed and have had my expectations met and exceeded.

I even put on a loop for 30 - 40 min and they are not to far from perfection.

I’m excited to do a review video on it on my channel. 🤗🤫😉

Which one did you order? I still like the watch besides the pins they use in the bracelet and wish they did screws.

They make multiple versions of this. May have ordered the wrong one. If I'm remembering right, they have a more affordable one with pins and a cheaper (but nice) bracelet, and another with all the bells and whistles (screw pins included).

haven't owned either, but seen the YT reviews.

Yes, the other one has the pt5000 movement but figured they would still have screws in this bracelet

I could be mistaken, but I think both versions have the option for different movements. They're separate SKUs but look identical.

Possibly, I didn’t look too much just grabbed this one to do maybe my first reverie and see why everyone likes them. Still an amazing watch and I do like it and would recommend, just thought the bracelet would have felt heavier.

Want to provide an update. I love this watch and has become my new daily driver lately.
