It depends a little on what you’re wanting but I don’t think you can go wrong with this.

The Seiko is a watch for every occasion. If you’re going Tissot, check out the PRX Quartz for ~$300 or a little more for the Gentleman Silicium. Or for less than $500, you can get the Hamilton Field Khaki Mechanical.

All I’ve been considering, but man that powermatic 80 movement under $280 on the Tissot above is holding me hostage from moving to the quarts PRX lol

That’s fair. I have a PRX and a Visodate and just got my wife a Chemin de Tourelle so I can attest that the Powermatic 80 is awesome. If this is meant to be an everyday watch, the 80 hour power reserve doesn’t matter as much then.

I would have to agree with this! I have it in green and love it.
If you’re wanting a Swiss everyday and you’re holding of from Tissot till you can get the auto prx I’d recommend Certina particularly the DS Podium line.
I got this gmt in titanium and it’s great but I’ve seen it in steel for around 300.
Orherwise there is also the DS Caimano
For a dressier look.
Both Certinas are reasonably sized and have 100m of water resistance so should work as an everyday choice.

And I have many lovely older watches, that I found in the same incredible price range...
