Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
My good friend who is also a business partner and mentor to me got me into watches. it started with just looking, and the next thing I knew I was Alice in wonderland.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The first watch I ever bought was a $49 fossil watch with a silicone bracelet. The first REAL watch I ever owned was a Seiko 5 that my wife got me for Christmas 2022.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Not as of yet, but I’m sure I will some day.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
I’m fairly new myself, but what I would say is don’t just buy because you can. Find a piece you want, save, save, save, buy it and appreciate it.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Seiko, Tissot, Rolex, Omega, Oris, Hamilton, Tudor, and Audemars.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
It’s a tie between an Audemars Royal Oak and a Rolex Sky Dweller. I can’t pick between the two. The retro look of the Royal Oak is eye catching. The Sky Dweller is just absolutely beautiful.
