I think so, and the sound from what I remember is not as "tinny" as other alarms and has more a bell-esque sound. hard to explain, it was different but in a good way
Woah! That is a sharp looking Benrus. Great change up for the military style they are known for. How does it sounds?
It's a very "buzzy" alarm, that sounds kinda like a thousand mosquitos are trapped inside. It's loud enough to be able to hear quite clearly while it's on the wrist, but certainly nowhere nearly loud enough to be used as a wake up alarm. The alarm lasts for about 15 seconds or so, and gradually fizzles out after about 10 seconds.
I had a Bell Matic back in the day and loved it, wore the heck out of it. It was super cool and super versatile

I have been eyeing a bellmatic for a while now. Are they worth it? How does it sound?

I've got an old Benrus WristAlarm. Doesn't really get any wrist time, but I enjoy having it in my collection.
