I think the manufacture line is an incredible value for what you get.  I own 2 FC's a manufacture flyback chrono and a moon phase.  They are very well built and finished to a high degree.

Blue would look very sharp on that watch.  Black with a contrast stitch could dress it down a bit.

It's a great looking piece, IMO.  It can do almost anything except be a dress watch.  Give it more time and try different strap combinations.  A strap can make a big difference in how a watch looks on the wrist.

If you trust the seller and are happy with the price then buy.  I suggest checking e-bay also.  There are a bunch of Omega available from Japan at good prices.  I got a 2254.50 last year from a Japan seller and have been very happy.  Just make sure you research the customs and get the valuations from the seller in advance of shipping so you can calculate the duty.

Nice looking piece.  Personally, the dreaded H-word doesn't bother me.  If you are looking for something very Monaco-like but not a clone check out the EMG Horizon.  Uses the same mech-quartz movement.  I have one and enjoy it.
