Q: How did you get into watch collecting?

I love anything mechanical, I grew up taking everything apart, starting with toys then tech and more cars. Naturally an interest in watches arose too. Whilst I’m still young, I hope to build a nice collection as I grow, and maybe even service/make my own watches someday

Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?

Does a Ben 10 omnitrix watch count?? In all seriousness though, probably my quartz gola watch, when i was about 5. “Watch enthusiast” watch would be the 4 Casio F91W I cycled through from around 7

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?

My daily watch, a unassuming quart fossil. I saw it in a windows as I was passing by a store and instantly loved it, design wise and went in to try it on. It had a certain weight to it and from that moment I knew I wanted that watch. But I was busy and couldn’t buy it then. so I snapped a blurry picture and went about my day. I then spent 6-8 months tracking down that exact watch. As it was discontinued and a regular quartz watch it would prove hard to find. And one day after almost giving up. I found it. The last one in stock anywhere. And after buying it, has spent the past 5 years being my main daily watch.

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?

Your taste will change a lot as you get deeper into watches

Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?

Tudor, increasingly liking most of their collection. But IWC now that surprised me. 12k for that watch though, turned me off so I can’t say it has caught my attention. Cartier, my taste has been more aligned with offerings from Cartier recently and their budget is friendly - relatively.

Q: What is your grail watch and why?

A Lange and Sohn zeitwerk, striking time. in platinum specifically. It’s the epitome of because we can from them and I just love that attitude from them, and don’t get me started on the craftsmanship of the watch and attention to every detail. It really ticks all the boxes for me
