My great grandfather was a jeweler, watch builder and collector. He did a pretty good job of passing down not only his collection, but the “sickness” to every generation after him.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
When I was 12 my parents got me a blue fossil diver. I wore it almost every day. However, my first true collectors watch as an adult is the BB58 Navy Blue.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
The watch in my profile photo was hand built by my great grandfather at his jewelry store in the 1940. I have his collection of pocket watches from the early 1900s as well.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
1) Try before you buy.
2) Collect what you like and what you will wear.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Breitling Premier, or a Grand Seiko SLGH/SLGA model.
