I wore a fake yachtmaster while in undergrad, loved every minute of it had no clue of what a real Rolex looked or felt like. Fast forward to about 3 years ago I purchased my first real Rolex a datejust 41 jubilee fluted bezel. On the outside they look great but once the real one is in your hand it becomes a night and day difference.
With all that said, outside perspective and people seeing a Rolex on someone’s wrist, I don’t think the general public would be able to tell the difference and most likely think it’s fake, but you as the wearer, will know, and that’s the person that should matter weather it’s important or not.
