Galileo Spacecraft by Nubeo on the wrist

It's time again for a Big Watch Review.

Today with the Galileo from Nubeo!

Galileo ?! Not exactly Galileo Galilei, but Galileo like the spacecraft that explored Jupiter. And the watch lives up to its name. With the Galileo, you can definitely go on an exploration tour. It is robust and has a very solid casebuild.

Briefly about the specs:

 Automatic movement

 Diameter: 49mm

Case height : 19mm

Crystal : Sapphire Lens with Anti-reflective coating.

200m WR and 30mm steel bracelet.

Typical for Nubeo, I would like to emphasise the criterion "solid", as the specs also suggest it.

I do not mean this in a negative way.  On the one hand, the watch has a great presence on the wirst, due to its size, but also due to the dial design.

Here, the extremely successful lume stands out and the double balance, which is again framed by the lume and offers a very nice view on the movement. The upper part of the dial is patterned. The dial is "broken up" by the double balance, which gives the watch a certain visual uniqueness and lightness - it doesn't look boring at all.

Double Balance - what for? In general, this is intended to achieve better or more precise accuracy. I didn't put mine on the time scale and unfortunately I can't confirm or refute this here. The Dial in general is good to read.

Regarding the Deisgn. If you look at the picture of the Galileo Spacecraft on the packaging and then look at the watch, I feel that the design - especially with the lume ring on the bezel - is very reminiscent of the front of the Spacecraft.

On the arm or wrist, you see it and you feel it, but still in a pleasant way. I think it's more suitable for sporty outfits than for "dressy" ones. On the back, you can still see the movement through a glass back, on which the outline of "Galileo" is engraved.

With the Galileo, you get a watch that has presence. Because of the design and the size. The design, as described, is eye-catching, but still calm.

The watch has a good height, which could be considered as a negative aspect, but I think that Nubeo is not known for delivering small watches. If you are looking for a solid watch that has a real presence on your arm and is also well made - this is exactly the right watch for you.

Those who like more inconspicuous watches that are a little more delicate - will most likely not want to wear the Galileo.

I did not notice anything negative about the specs. Good build quality for the price range and suitable components.

The design is, as so often, subjective.

I like it because it's nothing you'll see on your next wrist.

What do you think of the watch and the design?

Too big for me, but I'm a space nut (like many watch collectors it seems) so I think it's outta this world! Very cool 😎🖖🏻
