So I’m done for a long time

I am done buying Aliexpress watches for a long time. Honestly, some have been hits and some have been a swing and a gigantic miss. However, I think once the 3 that I have coming in the mail soon get here, I’ll be done. I’ll start focusing on some nice microbrands and maybe a Bulova Lunar Pilot, idk, who knows? I think I’ll perpetually buy Casios, though. For the price, they’re guilt free purchases. 👌🏽

Something to consider too would be instead of 10 40 dollar watches that may or may not be good quality, one solid 400 dollar watch that will last a lifetime! Cheers

I see some of your WRUW post and I get what you're saying. You're a Young Blood 💪🏽 There's a stage in this watch collection journey where one will need to - LEVEL UP!!! And eventually, get to the next 4 digit watch price range.

Continue to stay hungry, move mountains and more importantly ... Stay Thirsty My Man 🍻👊🏽

I mean, I don’t really want to spend 4 figures on a watch unless it really speaks to me. I’m not opposed to it, but I don’t feel like I need anything too expensive. I would like me a nice Tudor Black Bay, but that’s about as high as I’m willing to go.

I have a few $400 watches.

I have that very same watch. But to be honest that is an excellent watch. Pagani isn’t the only one that does homages. FFS Tudor makes Rolex homages… Yeah micro brands have more originality but it costs a lot more and they may not even be built using such quality parts and if they do they will cost 3 times as much. Purists are all about being original but in the watch world every company copies each other. I am quite happy with my Paganis and it’s really hard to beat their bang for the buck. I’ll probably never have enough money to buy a Daytona, so that Pagani for me is good enough and it’s a work horse 👍🫡

The GMT Master 2 homages I bought. Both bezels are misaligned and one has a flaw on the bezel where the black paint spills over to the blue.

Part of the process….Good call though.

I love it, too. And I am looking at a Nicaea Gretchen Chronomaster and a Baltic Hermetique. I buy AE watches because I can NEVER afford the real deal and so it gives me the ability to have a little piece of that watch on my wrist without spending, in some cases, tens of thousands of dollars.

That Tudor runs 4 digits and it's worth it! It'll last you a lifetime with care and maintenance. Just remember the cost to repair and maintenance. It may in fact be your one and done watch. 🤙🏽

There’s no such thing as a one and done watch.
