Sub $100 is was a big pro. Seiko is the usual choice there, but I really like the quirkiness of the Vostok watches. Plus I am never one to leave stuff alone thus the different band already, so having such a big modding community appeals to me as well.
I wore a vostok to my wedding day quite a few years ago! I have never seen that model before
