I own about several watches, including a vintage from the 1960's. My collection also includes a G-Shock DW5600E, which I wear often because it just works. Like most collectors, I like watches simply because they tell time, but they also tell personal stories. I'll refine this post as I become more familiar with WatchCrunch.
I have always enjoyed watches and my first that I truly enjoyed was a Timex. I guess that started it for me.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
It was a Timex, and I wore it all the time.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Yes, it's sitting in my phone. I hope to share it someday.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Get watches that speak to you.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
I wouldn't say lately but for as long as I have been interested in watches. They include Rolex, Timex, G-Shock, Jaeger LeCoultre, A Lange & Sohne, Omega, Breitling, Cartier, Dan Henry, Benrus, Patek, Chopard etc. I like these brands for various reasons.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
All I will say is my grail watch is from A Lange & Sohne.
