I do the same, as I am Indian and there are abduant supply of old broken down mechanical watches mostly old se Seiko 5 , Hmt and Ricoh.

So i buy couple of then $3 per piece. And try to fix them. Unfortunately they are just good enough to learn the parts and get that hand dexterity.

Most of the good stuff is taken by the franken market here and sold on amazon, Ali express, ebay and etsy.

Nice, I am also on my way to aquire the same ( blue arabic numerals white dial) from Etsy.com

It looks pretty rough though, most probably a franken.
