NWA: Casio Royale Alternatives: WS-1600H (Blue) & AE-1300WH

This might get confusing.

Basically I won a $50 Amazon gift card in my office and really wanted the black/silver version of the WS-1600 watch. Alas, It was more than $50 for some reason.

The blue version of the WS-1600 & the black/silver AE-1300 were under $50 for both watches once I waited for their respective sale prices...

I basically made my preferred WS-1600 black/silver & got a blue AE-1300 for free as these watches all share the same square case design.

The Casio Royale AE-1200 (red) came out first and the other two are much more recent additions. They have newer modules but share the same familiar case. They are very light comfortable watches with amazing value.

I really do like the larger text, dual time shown along side stopwatch/timer & new interval training feature. They still have all world time functionality of the Royale but without the neat little world map graphic & only 1 alarm instead of previous 5 alarms.

The LCD display numbers are also slimmer on the new modules but they make better use of overall screen real estate.

I threw a yellow filter in the AE-1300 to complement the blue resin and try to match the faceplate text colour. I also have a red leather Vario strap in the mail for my odd man out. I Broke that resin strap years ago.

Current watch setups:

Here are some other colours filters I have tried on the AE-1300. I might swap it back to pink, really liked that colour.

I guess I am now collecting the infinity stones of Square case Casio Royales variants...

It is inevitable.

If you have a spare case and caseback for any of the 3 above, complete the quartet and get a DW291H. The module and faceplate will fit in the case also.
