JLC Back from Service

This JLC Master Date, purchased in 2001, recently came back from a factory service. Every aspect of their service process is top-notch. Very happy with the results.

Any other JLC fans?

Gorgeous looking watch. Much as it always pains me to send a watch off to get serviced, when you receive the watch back, it really does soften the blow of the cost. Never ceases to amaze me how perfect they come back.

Thanks for the complement. To my eyes, it was returned in "as new" condition. Even the scratches on the clasp were gone.

Hell yes. They take their time sometimes but they are very very reliable. And their watches are the epitome of sartorial understated elegance. As is your watch!

Yep I love my Reverso Duo. I've long considered a MUT. Been considering a Polaris...

Huge JLC fan, not yet an owner. Master Control moon or calendar is on the list

Curious, how long did the full service take, was the watch shipped to Switzerland? A JLC triple calendar moonphase is my next significant purchase but still need to research the servicing issues.

The service took about a month. JLC provides the packaging and the FedEx label to ship the watch. The watch goes to Fort Worth, Texas. Once the service has been completed, the watch is returned, carefully packaged in a simple but very nice watch case. I had read that JLC sends watches that are more than 20 years old back to Switzerland, but I don't know if that was the case with this one. I'd be happy to answer any further questions you might have about the process.

Thx, I live in Canada so the process will be different but service timing will be similar. When I was shopping for a triple calendar, the JLC ad was a little skittish answering my questions so I purchased a Breitling Datora instead. They are both watches that I wanted so it is fine. Appreciate the trouble you took to respond. Your JLC is a lovely watch. Cheers!❤️

Happy to hear you had a good experience with the JLC service in Texas. My reverso is still under warranty and runs well. My Hometime is way over the suggested time for recommended service. Your posts certainly give me some hope of success if I choose to send it to Texas. Thanks for sharing.

If I can provide you with any additional information when the time comes for service, I would be happy to do so.

Great pair of watches.
